Journey to the [Far] East People's Republic of China

Charged with providing a vision that our clients can utilize as a road map in progressing towards a prosperous future, the focus of Overland’s work in China is to restore an equitable balance embedded in each of our projects. Our overarching goal as we work toward establishing a framework of research-driven design solutions is to strategize how a project can balance the social, ecological, and economical needs of a place in order to foster human connections within a vibrant urban realm. Positioning ourselves as advisors to our clients whose planning strategies span a range of cultural traditions, we strive to create a space where design can act as a mutually understood language for the exchange of ideas across customs and boundaries and as we collaborate to imagine our urban futures. Here in this space, the process and the vision it yields remain open to change as we shape the form and organize the complex functions of the built environment.
