La Perla Boutique Hotel Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

Celebrating the La Perla district and its locale, this boutique hotel will offer a contemporary centralized destination embracing a strong connection with the new neighborhood. Regional culture and art, architectural legacy, and modern technology mix and mingle, much like the guests themselves.

Echoing a Legacy

Inventive details echoing the legacy of the original Kodak facility inspire details crafted in masonry, wood, metal, and glass, inviting lush gardens inside an urban context. Layered with moments of serene textures, festive color and pattern, and bold organic expressions, spaces converge to reveal unexpected dramatic and restful moments in both private and public spaces – organically blending dynamic energies of connectivity, curiosity, inspiration, and rejuvenation.

A Vibrant Sense of Place

The hotel entrance greets visitors with a stunning and welcoming indoor/outdoor lobby and cafe alongside leasable retail space. Native plants and trees blend the site into the local natural environment, creating a sense of serenity in the midst of the hotel’s urban setting. Existing Kodak gantries were repurposed and utilized for site circulation.

Levels 2 and 3 contain a restaurant and bar serving both the hotel and public with covered outdoor seating and comfortable lounge areas as well as larger spaces that can be reserved for group functions. Above the public spaces are 10 floors of hotel rooms and an additional 5 floors of residential suites. With an exceptional view across the city, the roof deck lounge boasts a bar, covered cabanas, and an infinity pool for guests and residents to relax in a calming, intimate atmosphere, high above the hustle and bustle of the surrounding city.

Overland worked closely with the owners to weave the cultural legacy and rich history of the La Perla District into this modern hospitality experience characterized by connectivity, curiosity, inspiration, and rejuvenation.
