Historic Cotton Bowl Renovations Dallas, TX

The historic Cotton Bowl Stadium, a cornerstone of Fair Park, has united people from around the world for generations. Its legacy stands alone as one of the most storied sports and entertainment venues, hosting world-class events since the 1930s, a testament to its enduring spirit. As it approaches its second century, Overland is leading the design with McAfee3, Modus and Norman Alston to restore and renovate this historic venue, in collaboration with Fair Park First, Dallas Parks and Recreation, Visit Dallas, OVG360, and AECOM.

To honor its celebrated legacy while embracing the future, this $140 million, two-year project will infuse new vitality into this iconic venue while creating indelible fan experiences. Plans include widening concourses, enhancing circulation, and improved food and beverage options, along with expanded restrooms. Guided by sustainable development strategies, an expanded array of hospitality areas and premium environments will elevate the Cotton Bowl’s overall fan experience and catalyze positive economic impact for future improvements across Fair Park and the community.
