Jena Hammond Nichols, AIA

Jena, a native Texan now rooted in Austin, views architecture as a catalyst for positive change, prioritizing relationships and community. With experience in high-end hospitality and residential projects like Maverick and Allora in San Antonio, she relishes the impact of thoughtful design on business success. Holding a Master of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, Jena is committed to education and community engagement. She received the Blake Alexander Traveling Student Fellowship, exploring architecture’s influence on communities. Outside work, Jena cherishes time with her daughter, Miriam, engages in quilt design, and gradually renovates her 1970s home. She eagerly anticipates contributing to public projects at Overland, furthering her passion for architecture’s societal impact.
