What We Are Looking For 

Overland’s Dallas office is looking for interior designers with 3-5 years of experience of large-scale interior projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for basic interior design assignments and working with the project team to assist the overall effort of completing project phases. An eagerness to learn and innovate is essential for success in this role. 

Common Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Contribute to any/all phases of project development including pre-design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. 
  • Prepare 2D and 3D presentation materials and design drawings 
  • Build models for client and project team reviews 
  • Modify and prepare production drawings during design development phase 
  • Correct and update design documents 
  • Generate technical and design solutions that reinforce the projects goals and vision 
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members and a variety of stakeholders including vendors and product representatives, contractors, consultants and the client 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior design staff 

Ideal Candidate Qualifications 

  • NCIDQ Certified preferred 
  • 3-5 years of related experience as an interior designer or architectural designer 
  • LEED or WELL certifications preferred or desired to obtain within first 6 months of employment 
  • Proficient using software such as Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Knowledge of furniture, fixture, and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color, and materials. 
  • Display a high level of organization and be deadline conscious. 
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with external clients and internal staff.
