Dyami’s passion for architecture stems from a desire to create spaces that transcend the built environment and transform the lives of the people that inhabit them. After a semester-long studio taught in conjunction with Overland, which focused on the needs of the homeless, Dyami knew Overland’s mission and approach to design resonated with him and wanted become a part of the team.
While studying at The University of Texas at Austin, Dyami had several opportunities to diversify his educational experience through travel. In the fall of 2010, he worked very closely with a small group of students on an architecture-centered mission trip to Zagreb, Croatia. Two years later, he spent a semester studying abroad at the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecture de Belleville in Paris. There, he developed a greater appreciation for the arts and a better understanding of the cultural influences on design.
Dyami is a native to San Antonio. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, playing the piano, and playing any sport that requires a ball. His interest in design translates to his obsession with shoes – he has 115 pairs.
