Christina Geyer Volpe is a seasoned communications executive and editorial director with more than 15 years of experience managing comprehensive communications, PR and marketing strategies, digital and print editorial publications and brands, across a range of sectors including luxury lifestyle, retail, hospitality, architecture and design, entertainment, philanthropy and impact.
Christina is the former editor in chief of PaperCity magazine, Dallas’ leading luxury lifestyle magazine, where she oversaw the publication’s editorial voice and point of view. She was the managing editor of FD Luxe, the award-winning luxury lifestyle magazine produced by The Dallas Morning News, and in that role she launched FD Love, the publication’s inaugural wedding magazine. She also served as a key fashion and lifestyle reporter for The Dallas Morning News. Christina still serves as an occasional contributor to a number of regional and national lifestyle publications, including PaperCity and House Beautiful.
Since leaving traditional publishing, Christina has applied her editorial expertise and honed her business acumen through a number of executive leadership roles at companies including retail giant, Macy’s, Inc.; the private family foundation and catalytic capital platform, Phillips Foundation; and hospitality development group, WoodHouse.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Christina holds a bachelor of arts in journalism and art history. During her time at SMU, she co-founded the website, SMUStyle, a lifestyle and fashion blog for college students. Today, SMUStyle remains an active, student-run digital publication. Christina is actively involved in several community and philanthropic organizations. She is on the board of The Family Place; an active member of The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary; former co-president and co-founder of The Salvation Army Echelon; and former co-chair of The Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Vivaldi Patron Circle.
