Stakeholder Immersion Key to Unlocking Project Potential – Blog

Keystone School - The Keystone Difference - Since 1948, providing talented and motivated students with a world-class, well-rounded educaitonal experience in a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages academic excellence, ethical growth, community involvement, and responsible leadership.

An Innovative Approach
Keystone School offers a nationally recognized holistic academic program that focuses not only on a student’s academic success, but on creating an educational experience that incorporates ethical growth, community involvement, and responsible leadership. The success of their program is defined by the success of Keystone alumni across some of the finest and colleges and universities in the world.
Stakeholder Immersion
Through a collaborative, immersive stakeholder process, Overland held 10 separate meetings with students, teachers, alumni, and parents in order to define a future for Keystone School. Our team learned that Keystone School is more than an educational experience—it is a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive community that maximizes student opportunities, strengthens creativity and individuality, and expands learning beyond classroom walls. Together, we took a deep dive into the engagement process to understand the range of different stakeholder experiences, from being a young student to an alumni, an educator to a parent, and internalized Keystone’s past and how it translates to a meaningful present and transformational future. Limited by a tight, urban location with few expansion opportunities, poor infrastructure, and dated buildings, Keystone School needed a way forward. In order to continue providing their students with exceptional educational experience, they needed modern, flexible spaces that could evolve and adapt to changes in technology and student needs. In doing so, it was important to not sacrifice the school’s historic cultural identity.
