Overland Partners is looking for a sustainability intern who through their educational, professional, and life experience demonstrates a passion for sustainability in the built environment. As this is an internship position, we are ideally looking for an architectural or mechanical engineering student looking to complete a residency, or taking a gap year before graduate school. Candidates must be available for full time work for a minimum of 6 months, and a maximum of 12 months.
The sustainability intern will participate in all phases of the architectural design process from conceptual design through post-occupancy, including tasks such as architectural drawings and diagrams to demonstrate the project sustainability strategies, benchmarking, performing energy, thermal, and daylighting simulations, academic research, and data analysis.
The sustainability intern must be self-motivated and interested in research. Candidates must be equally comfortable with design software and technical software, such as Revit, Rhinoceros, SketchUp, the Adobe Suite, and Excel. Knowledge in parametric design is highly valued.
