What We Are Looking For
Overland Partners is looking for designers with at least 3 years of experience in high-end residential to create and execute innovative designs that can adapt to a variety of materials and situations meeting client requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong collaborative and client-oriented attitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to balance multiple residential projects at once from concept through construction. Experience in high-end residential is a must.
Must have completed an accredited master’s degree or 5-year professional degree program in architecture.
Required Skills
- Create high quality and innovative designs deliverables that can adapt to a variety of materials and situations meeting client requirements.
- Contribute to any/all phases of development including pre-design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Ability to read, understand and implement adjustments to architectural and structural designs.
- Actively participate in design charrettes with clients and internal staff.
- Strong ability to communicate design concepts verbally and visually.
- Assist in consultant coordination with Engineering, Civil, MEP, Structural, and Interiors.
- Work closely with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
- Display a high level of organization and be deadline conscious.
- Commitment to excellent design.
Qualifications
- Accredited master’s degree or 5-year professional degree program in Architecture
- 3+ years of experience in high-end residential projects
- Sustainable design accreditation preferred
- Proficient in architecture design tools including Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam, Rhino, and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships
